Estancia Arroyo Verde offers a variety of horseback rides on its 4500-hectare Patagonian paradise for beginners and experienced riders.
Choose from easy trails to more advanced mountain rides—ride for a full day, half-day, or few hours.
A guide will always accompany you, ready to answer any questions about the landscape and wildlife.
Start with an orientation ride to familiarize yourself with the horse and equipment—saddles, helmets, gaiters, and chaps. Then start off on one of the following rides through valleys, along Lake Traful and the river, or up mountains only accessible by horse.
Ride up the mountain to the twin lagoons, 2 ½ hours away. Ride along the Verde stream until you reach the lagoon. Upon arrival, you can have a picnic lunch on the edge of the lake. In the afternoon you can swim in the lake and go for a walk. This experience can take up a whole day.
Ride for 3 ½ hours to the top of Cerro Frutilla (Strawberry Hill), where you can see views of Lake Traful. You will ride through the valley along the Traful River.
Take a 3 hour horseback ride to Los Cóndores, where you can observe the majestic condor. There you will have lunch, rest, then later in the afternoon, return on a 2-hour ride back to the ranch.
