DETAILS OF EXPERIENCE

No visit to Argentina would be complete without the chance to try one of the local passions—Polo.

Take part in one of the informal weekly sessions, which includes tuition and a practice game, or go further and join one of the regular fixed date learn-to-play Polo weeks, which are run under the expert supervision of a local professional.

Polo Tuition and Practice Game

This is one way to start playing Polo in a fun and informal way. Join a lesson that begins with a brief practice of the movements from the ground. You are each provided and fitted with the basic equipment: boots or gaiters, a protective helmet, and a polo mallet suitable for your height.

You are invited to participate in preparing the horse: bandaging their legs, braiding their tails, and saddling them up. You will then hop on the horse and ride for 20 minutes to the Polo field inside the ranch.

At the field, you will also learn the basic rules and start playing for fun informally. The horses are very good and know the game and what they have to do, making it fun for the riders.

Learn-to-play Polo week

The polo week is for people who know how to ride very well and have never played or have played very little and wish to learn the sport. For the duration of a week, a bilingual professional player will give you Polo lessons each morning. In the afternoons, you are free to take part in other horseback riding activities around the estancia.

At the end of the week of polo lessons, other players will join you to play in a mini Polo tournament.
